This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit cypruschristmasvillages.com. The short version: there are no accounts, no ads, no sign-up forms and no tracking across other websites.

Who we are

Cyprus Christmas Villages is an independent guide based in Cyprus. For any privacy question, email us at hello@cypruschristmasvillages.com.

Cookies and storage

• __cf_bm (Cloudflare, up to 30 minutes) — protects the site from bots. Strictly necessary.
• session-id (our hosting provider, 30 minutes) — counts visits and page views so we know which pages are useful. It contains a random ID, not your name, and is not used for advertising.
• Saved favourites — the ♥ villages you save are kept only in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us.

Services your browser talks to

• Hosting — the site is hosted by Lovable and delivered through Cloudflare. Like every website, they receive your IP address and browser details to serve the pages, and our host records anonymous visit statistics.
• Weather — forecasts are loaded from Open-Meteo, which receives your IP address and the location of the village (not yours).
• Fonts are stored on our own server, so no data is sent to Google Fonts.
• Links to Google Maps, Wikimedia Commons, Instagram and other sites follow those sites' own privacy policies once you click.

Affiliate links

Some links (for example car rental, and later hotels and tours) are affiliate links: if you book through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked on the page. The booking site may set its own cookies after you click.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of Cyprus.
